Sidewalk? What sidewalk?
It’s a good idea to keep a good positive outlook on life. Maybe that’s why I like landscape photography so much, I don’t have to deal much with people. What is an important… sometimes almost forgotten… part of this is keeping a sense of humor. Not everything has to be so serious all the time. So when you’re driving down the road, and you’d normally screech the brakes for a great sunset shot, you also need to be ready to screech the breaks for a humorous shot, a shot that serves no other purpose than it makes you smile.
Now, while this shot is not intended for sale… though I suppose if you had a desire for it we could arrange something… it’s still a shot that I thought I’d like to share. It’s fun, and that has value by itself.
The quality of this photo isn’t in the quality of the composition, which doesn’t exist, obviously, but rather in the clear humorous scenario depicted. I love how the sign kind of states what is self-evident, unintentionally, I’m sure.
The part that I still ponder when I look at it is… did the crew who placed it notice the irony?

I am wondering how long that sidewalk will be closed before they finish it. For now, it is very funny!

I like the humor in this!
