So what do you do when you’re laid up and not working… and unable to really go out and take photos? If you’re smart you work on your blog and website and try to think up something pithy to say, even though there’s really nothing happening at the moment. If nothing else you work out a plan for an upcoming shoot so you can get back into things. The blog and website working haven’t been working out too well, so I’m falling back on Option C, planning for an upcoming photo shoot.
I’ve been progressing through some medical issues that have sidelined me from work and most activity for a couple months now… which you can read about at another one of my blogs, Ken’s Heart Wellness Blog, if you’re interested… but my photo club has scheduled a photo shoot for next Saturday, and I’m planning on going. Now, truth be told, it will depend on how I feel when the day comes, but I am determined to think positive. I am on the upswing and would like to keep myself heading in a positive direction.
The photo shoot is to a couple waterfalls in northeastern Iowa. Iowa is kind of sparse in waterfalls, but there are a few, and some of them are actually pretty nice. I have visited a couple, but have no shots of any of them, so in the spirit of the shoot I am posting one of my favorite photos of a waterfall that I took in Michigan in 2008.
So I guess that’s my theme for this post… don’t stand still, move forward.
At least you find a way to spin it positive and found something to talk about. I think you will find time to work on website and such as you heal and spend less time sleeping and get more energy. I look forward to waterfall searching with you!
Sounds good Ken!
